Equestrian coach Madeleine McMahon BHSAI has a dynamic and dual focus approach to coaching. Having both life long experience with horses and a background in social science (MSc) and dance, her ability to coach both the rider mentally and physically whilst maintaining a focus on the horse is ever present in her coaching style. Madeleine believes training the rider as well as the horse is key to achieving top results in equestrianism.
Madeleine Equestrian Coach has been a full time enterprise since 2008 and continues to work with riders/owners to enhance the partnership between horse and rider. Whilst always working to enhance the rider and horse synchronisation, her areas of expertise are:
• problem horses
• nervous riders
• competition strategy and execution
• fitness of horse and rider
• producing the green horse
Madeleine’s time is tailored and personal to each individual rider/horse combination. Although based in the South Dublin/Wicklow area, she does private lesson, group clinics and competition training nationally. She coaches out of some of the country’s best known and well established yards and indeed coaches in pony clubs, riding clubs, competition yards, livery yards, private yards and private homes too.
Madeleine has also developed a match making service which finds the right horse for the rider looking. This consultancy service is for all levels and ages. She also often has a horse or two for sale herself. She has many happy clients (see Testimonials).
